Concord Monitor: For this 12-year-old from Pembroke, college sports came early

Concord Monitor reports on Katie Chase, a 12-year-old Boston Children’s patient who suffers from a disease called Alagille syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects major organs. This fall, Chase will be joining the Southern New Hampshire University women’s soccer team in order to inspire through her resiliency, after rebounding from surgeries, cancer, and a transplant, and in turn receive the benefits learned when joining a college sports program.
